Acne Causes – What is Acne
Acne Treatments: Acne Causes
We all know that acne causes unsightly pimples and lesions on their skin, but what causes acne? Â In fact the causes of acne are not fully understood, although much has been learned of several factors leading to the condition. However, before discussing what is known about what causes acne, let us first dispel some untruths. Acne is not caused by eating fatty foods or chocolate. Â In fact one of the main treatments for acne is best taken with fatty foods. Acne is not diet related, regardless of what you might have heard or read on websites even quite authoritarian. Nor is IT related to genetics and can not be passed from person to person. Â It is not a disease but a skin condition, although bacterial activity is a significant factor. We know enough about what causes acne to break it down into three specific areas. These can be understood better if you first understand what is acne. Â Regardless of the type of acne, or how deep your skin comes, is caused primarily by a sticky plug oily sebum and dead skin cells that block up your follicles and pores of the skin, and infection by bacteria.
The bacteria trigger the immune response that not only launched macrophages to kill bacteria and to form what you know, like pus, but also fixed in the inflammatory response that causes inflammation, swelling and pain of pustules. All these reactions are thought to kill off the bacteria, but also cause pain and distress as a result. Let 's take each of these three components (sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria) turn, and consider how they themselves are caused.SebumSebum natural skin oil, which is generated by oil glands and protects and waterproofs your skin and hair. Its production is accelerated by hormonal activity after puberty. Hormones are believed to be responsible androgens, or male hormones present in men and women, but much higher in men. The effect of androgens is to enlarge the sebaceous glands and also increase production of sebum. The sebum can mix with dead skin cells inside a hair follicle and form a plug in the follicle (pore). The increase in sebum plugs accelerates the formation of pores, and also accelerates the multiplication of bacteria on your skin.
The plug can also break the hair, and flings its contents into the body of the skin itself. Female hormones can help ease the symptoms of acne, which is why the severity of an acne attack on a girl or a woman can change during the menstrual cycle according to the relative amounts of androgen and estrogen in your body. CellsSkin skin is a living organ of your body, composed of individual epithelial cells. These are short-lived, and the surface of the skin is renewed every two or three weeks. Dead skin cells usually get washed off, but can also form in the pores of your skin and mix with sebum to form a gooey Massachusetts. You can help prevent this with regular use of an exfoliating body scrub using a soft version for your face.
You can also use vitamin treatments for your dead skin flake off, again the help avoid mixing with the sebum.BacteriaBacteria grows naturally in your skin, and normally does not ninguÌ?? No damage when not a dangerous class. Â The bacteria responsible for acne is known as the bacterium acnes Propionic, and substances of the product to initiate your immune system. They can infect the sebum and skin cell plug a pore or follicle, causing inflammation and pus formation of immune action. A good antibacterial soap will help prevent this from happening, and an antibiotic can often relieve the painful symptoms of acne and inflammation. Finally, what causes different types of acne? Non-inflammatory pimples on the cause of acne (known as comedomes open) and whiteheads (closed comedomes), while inflammatory acne pustules and papules form. Pimples are caused by a plug inside a follicle enlarged open, and the black color is due to the infected sebum that react with air and melanin pigment in the skin (not dirt!).
A whitehead is formed in the same way, but the pore remains closed. Â The white pus is caused by dead white blood cells that have been fighting the bacteria as a result of the immune response to chemicals that have been issued. Â Not so much the bacteria themselves that cause the problem as the toxins they produce. Â papules and pustules are more inflammatory in a similar way, but deeper into the skin, with pores being much deeper plain stuffy. These can cause scarring if left untreated, the occurrence that scarring nodules most severe that have broken below the skin surface. Although the real reasons for the onset of acne are unknown, the reason that acne causes the symptoms that you experience is well known and the treatment you receive depends crucially on these symptoms or form of acne that you develop. Â With proper care and treatment, there is a good chance that your acne condition can be managed successfully.
